Classic Oaks Ranch Wedding Photography
Amber and Austin were married in April at the Classic Oaks Ranch in Mansfield Tx. (Yes I am that behind on my blog 🙂
You may remember their engagement session that I posted a while back. It was a beautiful session on a freezing day lol.
Amber and I joke around about the weather during the last year… Freezing temps on her engagement session day, we rescheduled for rain 4 times for her bridal session and then their wedding day. It was right at the beginning of the 3 weeks of nonstop, miserable rain. I think it had rained the day before so when I showed up to the venue it was cloudy and muggy but Amber was in such great spirits. The guys were playing a life size version of Jenga and drinking a beer. Having fun and looking forward to the party later that day. The girls were upstairs getting ready. Hair and Make up, adding the petals to the flower girl baskets and finishing the final touches to everything. We got Amber dressed and did some fun photos of the girls together upstairs. I left them for a bit to get the guys together. Austin is a huge baseball fan and he played with his Groomsmen growing up so he had custom baseball bats made with everyone’s name on them. I loved this idea and made sure to get detail shots with them.
It was time for the ceremony and as Amber was walking down the stairs the storm hit… the trees were bending over backward and the rain was coming down so hard that you couldn’t even see outside. Thankfully everything was held inside and no one was phased! Amber gracefully walked down the steps with her Dad and down the aisle to the love of her life. Their son Kaiden was standing with them during the ceremony too. The power actually went out at some point during the ceremony and everyone help up their phones with the flashlights on. I normally hate a plugged in ceremony but in this instance I was SO thankful that people kept theirs so that Amber and Austin could see each other as they read their vows. It was such a sweet intimate moment.
Eventually the power came back on and after the family photos dinner was served and the party started! The dance floor was packed and they even had some Soul train going on 🙂
The lovebirds were able to cut their beautiful cake and received some loving toasts from friends and family members and then enjoyed a slow dance just the two of them.
I am so happy to be apart of this day and the last year with these guys! You were so great to work with and I am so happy for you two and wish you 100 years of love and happiness with your family!
