Henry’s cake smash photography session
It seems like I just met this sweet boy yesterday, I can’t believe how fast time flies. Before I knew it ( and I am sure Mom too) It was time for Henry’s cake smash photography session! It had rained the whole week before this shoot, we lucked out and just barely missed the three weeks of rain that happened afterward. Everything was nice and green from the rain we got the week before which really helped the scenery. For this session I went to a private property in Flower Mound TX and instantly LOVE the background I was going to get to work with. We though the wooden fence would go perfect with his John Deere theme and then in the backyard is an amazing jungle/forest that the family had been clearing out. I think those series of photos are probably my favorite – I just love the texture of the vines and trees. Little H was super smiley for me, as usual, and had to show off his new walking skills. He had to walk everywhere we went… no holding or crawling allowed! 🙂
We started out with some family photos and then let him cruise around on the fence. Mom had some awesome stuff to include in his session. We got to work with an old wooden chair, a John Deere themed wagon, the beautiful house with white rocking chairs and a giant lawn mower 🙂 We waited until the end of the session for the cake smash… I am not so sure that this guy loved the cake haha! It is a texture thing, some kids love it and some kids do not! Once he realized his hands were sticky he was pretty much over it and could care less about the yummy icing. 🙂 ( My boys were the exact same way! ) I still think it made for some super cute cake smash photography!
Thank you for choosing me to watch your sweet boy grow! He is so fun to photograph and I love watching him change and come into his personality. Happy birthday sweet boy!
